Id still recommend testing it out on the sprue first, though! There is a odd chance that this Top coat will repair chipped paints on scaled figures? After assembling, painting and detailing your Gunpla model, you can use top coating to help protect it.

Ive done 40k minatures before, but those never involve articulation like Gundam kits do, which I always imagined would be affected by a topcoat. My choice for flat topcoat is Gaianotes Flat Clear. However, this is not the case with a paint chip. This doesnt mean you cant get rid of dust on your model youll just have to spend more effort getting that stuff off of a top coated model than a naked model. Fortunately, there is an intermediate option between the two extremes: spraying flat/matte top coat directly on an unpainted model.
Because of this it uses a thinning agent that may not react well with certain paints.
Prying parts apart is an easy to way scratch the coating. Yep! Applying top-coat drastically tones down the difference between the unpainted and painted parts, but you will notice if you look really close.
