I did enjoy Dia de los Muerto at Xcaret, but quite frankly mostly because it was 100% oriented towards locals and I haven't found a single tourist there (that said I recommend this event if you speak Spanish since nothing is in English it might not be fun for non-Spanish speakers). If not, maybe next time you can go there.
