It's an aromatic spicy, balmy resinous, slightly woody vanilla done just right. Vanilla can be one of the most exciting scents in the world when blended with something either much darker, as with the intense spices of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, or with something much lighter, such as with the bright lemon of Habit Rouge. I think this is actually a vanilla I could wear year round without it getting too cloying. Duelle is the closest they do to a gourmand scent and it is absolutely divine. Its an incredibly sweet vanilla thats set off by the spices and other notes. Its has a fluffiness to it. Definitely in the top three for fragrances Ill be wearing this Fall and winter. The texture of this actually reminds me of Van Cleef and Arpels-Orchidee Vanille, but this one is definitely very aromatic, green. at first, i sprayed it and my impression was that it was a little too herbal and dusty for me. This is the best vanilla there is -- classy, warm, spicy, fresh. its cold and standoffish rather than comforting and inviting. sillage leaves to be desired, which is too bad. As it stands, it blasts gin (the juniper, I assume) and then flickers vanilla for seconds, and is gone.
