When we were there on Tuesday through Thursday, the restaurant was only staffed with one server and one cook and they weren't serving outdoors. The sites are spacious and not crowded. The ground is deceptively inclined, so be sure to bring leveling blocks. The RV section is well laid out. Current river state park is a 5.25 mile hike, one way from echo bluff and a 2 mile drive. Today, the camp itself is long gone, but a different kind of visitor is returning to explore this picturesque landscape that has been transformed into Echo Bluff State Park. The interesting thing is that the campsites are all positioned so campers get sunshine on the door side of their campers. No cell service, but the camp wifi worked when I could get a signal.
