Everett's tightknit family respond awkwardly, and soon coldly, to Meredith's stiffness, making her feel like even more of an outsider. Claire Danes, Sarah Jessica Parker, Diane Keaton, and Rachel McAdams lead an all-star cast in The Family Stone. Characters drink at a bar, to the point that one passes out and doesn't remember how she ends up in her fianc's brother's bed. A large part of the film's appeal (and cozy feel) came from the fact that they flew east to film all of the exterior shots in New Jersey and Connecticut. I am afraid that this is my second copy as I must have worn the first one out. The script, storyline, and dialogue between characters was all very sharp and well written in my opinion. Ph. I actually got to enjoy myself because I wasn't in a state of despair. But his plans go sideways when the family and Meredith do not hit it off. Only Ben supports her. Her research must have been "something else". WILSON: We had fun tussling, but it is one of those things where when you've done it six times, each time you're getting up a little slower.
